He resigns to his study
Writes a sermon
Condemning the evils
Evils of the flesh
Evils of the heart
Evils of the mind of the body
A knock on the door
An altar boy for his lesson
Trusting he kneels
Receives his unholy sacrament
Takes the body of man
Shattered trust
Faith no more

Yeah, that was a big, ugly scandal a few years ago. No getting around that. In the case of the victims, I sincerely hope that their faith goes deeper than the trust they might have once had in a terribly sick person.
Sorry. I’ve gotten a lot less pessimistic in the last few years.
